Catholic Identity

Throughout the academic year, students are invited and encouraged to grow in their personal relationship with God, serve others, learn about the Catholic faith, receive the sacraments, and worship together. Our approach to Catholic identity encompasses a comprehensive framework that integrates faith into every aspect of school life.

In addition, opportunities to deepen our living faith exist beyond the theology classes. Teachers incorporate gospel values and Catholic teachings into the curriculum, and service is cultivated at all grades.  Together with our students, we support one another to grow in our faith journey by being the face and heart of Jesus to one another.


Liturgical and Sacramental Life:

• Weekly Masses and Prayer Services: Students participate in weekly Masses, prayer services, and adoration, fostering a rhythm of worship and reflection.
• Sacramental Preparation: Comprehensive programs for sacramental preparation ensure that students understand and appreciate the significance of Baptism, First Communion, Reconciliation, and Confirmation.
• Liturgical Seasons: Observances of Advent, Lent, Easter, and other Church feasts are celebrated with meaningful activities, rituals, and prayers, immersing students in the liturgical calendar.

• Religious Education Curriculum: A robust religious education curriculum that covers Scripture, Church history, theology, and moral teachings, encouraging critical thinking and personal reflection.
• Faith Integration Across Subjects: Incorporation of Catholic teachings and values across all subjects, demonstrating the interconnectedness of faith and learning.

• Retreats and Spiritual Experiences: Regular retreats and spiritual experiences designed to deepen students’ understanding of their faith, facilitate personal encounters with God, and strengthen their spiritual lives.
• Prayer Practices: Daily prayer in classrooms, meditation, and opportunities for personal reflection to cultivate a habit of prayer and mindfulness.

• Service Projects: Ongoing service projects that encourage students to put their faith into action, addressing local and global needs and promoting social justice.

• Mission Awareness: Education about the global Catholic Church, its missions, and the universal call to solidarity with the poor and marginalized.
• Cultural Celebrations: Celebration of diverse cultural traditions within the Catholic faith, fostering an appreciation for the universality of the Church.

• Parental Engagement: Programs and resources to engage and support parents in their role as primary faith educators, including family prayer events and faith formation workshops.
• Parish Collaboration: Strong collaboration with local parishes to integrate parish activities with school life, enhancing the communal aspect of faith.

• Virtue Education: Emphasis on the development of virtues such as kindness, humility, honesty, and courage, rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ.
• Leadership Opportunities: Opportunities for students to develop leadership skills through faith-based initiatives, encouraging them to be compassionate and ethical leaders.
